Another side of the transgender story
By Book Scanner Nan
Written from the heart, if not written by a professional writer. Walt Heyer's story is very genuinely told and he doesn't try to be politically correct about what he thinks about transgendering, which he experienced and later reversed. He just tells his story and I think, wants to spare others who may be considering the whole and complete gender transformation, the heartache he went through.

Interesting Read
By Amazon Customer
As a former RN on A Behavior Health (psych) unit. I found this book very interesting. It reinforced some of my beliefs about transgendered surgeries not really solving the problems of a lot. I saw one man who began to have severe mood swings (as a woman suffering from PMS) when he began taking female hormones. Fascinating topic.

This is MUST reading for anyone considering changing genders.
By Merry Mary
This is a clear autobiography of someone who was born a male, experienced various traumas that led him to transition to a female and finally, he completed the circle and transitioned back to being a male. The writing isn't perfect, but the message comes through clearly. There is enough detail to keep the reader looking forward to the next chapter, but not so much minutia that one is overwhelmed with details. At the end of several chapters I sat and contemplated what Kid Dakota's wife and kids or other relatives or even co-workers must have thought. As I write this, I can't help but think of what Caitlyn (formerly Bruce) Jenner must be experiencing. Definitely, transgenders need our understanding and compassion, but not necessarily our encouragement to change genders. This book certainly presents a more realistic picture of the life of a transgendered individual than what TV presents. I think this is an important book for everyone in America today to read.
