Antonio "Ato" S�nchez-Monge has 16 years of experience in the IP/MPLS (and Software-Defined) Networking industry, first with HP as Cisco partner, and then for the last 11 years in Juniper Networks, currently in the Contrail Business Unit. He is fluent in three languages and holds CCIE R&S # 13098, JNCIE-SP #222. Ato has written five more books in Juniper Networks, and is leading several knowledge management initiatives inside the company. MPLS and SDN are part of his daily job, from design down to the details, and is a go-to person inside Juniper for many technical topics.

Krzysztof Grzegorz Szarkowicz is a Senior Professional Services Engineer at Juniper Networks. He has 20 years of experience in the industry, gained with HP Labs, Telia Research, Ericsson, Cisco, and finally in the last 8 years with Juniper Networks; and having performed varied roles as Researcher, Program Manager, Trainer and Consultant. Krzysztof speaks fluently four languages, and he holds both Cisco (CCIE-SP #14550 Emeritus) and Juniper (JNCIE-SP #400) certifications. Essential!!

This book is simply great...it can be compared with the also essential book "MPLS Enabled Applications" from Lucian Lucek and Ina Minei, but adding a practical (and interoperable) point of view. And not only for MPLS technologies (including the last MPLS trends), the authors successfully describe the way the SDN (and of course NFV) is changing the actual IP/MPLS networks, not only for Service Provider environments but in Data Centers. Last but not least, this book can be a good guide for understand technologies, designing networks, but also for students that are preparing "Internet Expert" Certifications, like CCIE-SP and JNCIE-SP. Congratulations!!

MPLS Bible 2.0

MPLS in the SDN Era: Interoperable Scenarios is a great book. For me, MPLS enabled Applications-Volume 3 is MPLS Bible 1.0 and this book as Ivan Pepelnjak ([...]) says rightly is MPLS Bible 2.0.
Today, there are Networking books in the market just with a single vendor approach with their OS, network topologies and configurations. But, there is not one book with Inter-operable network scenarios. Today's SP Networks actually also are multi-vendor and not just a single vendor.

As a Network Engineer at a SP and a IP/MPLS Lab geek out of interest, I have a job of testing interoperable network scenarios and making multiple vendors work products work smoothly. It's one heck of a job. Hence, I realize how brilliantly Ato and Krzysztof have worked hard to bring up this awesome book with Interoperable Network scenarios with Juniper Networks & Cisco Systems.

This book comes with a title, examples and topologies of the interoperable networks of JunOS and IOS-XR, two of the Best Networking companies with great scalable Network Operating systems which makes my life easy and all other Network Engineers’ who deal with complex networks which need to interoperate and work together. I simply enjoy reading and labbing up the scenarios from this book.
This BOOK could be a potential go-to book for both JNCIE-SP and CCIE-SP.

I believe it’s a must-have book for all Network Engineers working in Service Provider Industry dealing with MPLS backbone Networks leaning towards SDN/NFV stuff.

Stunning

Originally I was between two leather bound editions, this edition and the Calla Edition. There were so many positive reviews for the Calla Edition that I began feeling swayed but ultimately I went ahead with purchasing this edition because it is the complete works of Grimms Fairy Tales whereas the Calla Edition is not the complete works. I'm not aware of how many tales are in the Calla Edition but this one contains over 200 tales.

For $16 I wasn't expecting it to be beautiful, I was mistaken. Between the thick leather cover, the owl gracing the inside cover, the gold pages and ribbon book mark, I was mesmerized. It is just so stunning and simple plus it will look marvelous on any book shelve.

This compilation actually lists the title of each story adaptation, and there have been quite a few! There is also extensive information about available audio recordings. The Publisher's Note asks for information about technical errors, outdated links and/or textual inaccuracies. Quite refreshing. The stories? What can I say about the stories? Rapunzel, Hansel and Gretel, Cinderella, The Bremen Town Musicians; if you don't know the names by now you're in for a treat. The writing style is flowing, filled with charm. Each story has a moral: some subtle, some blatant, all relevant, even today. This is not the volume if you're looking to pass a few hours: these are short stories; the type that fit into those moments while the tea is brewing or the bacon is frying. Enjoy them. Savor them. Share them.

Kindle format very well done

I believe reviews of the Kindle format should focus on that rather than the content so that is what I will do here. After suffering through some bad and some horrible inexpensive Kindle classics I was so happy to find this edition. The production quality is very good: the index is usable, there aren't any bad OCR issues, it is a joy to read.

About the Author
David Mechanic, Ph.D. is the Ren� Dubos University Professor of Behavioral Sciences and Director of the Institute for Health, Health Care Policy, and Aging Research at Rutgers University. He holds faculty appointments in the School of Social Work and in the departments of sociology, psychology and psychiatry. Over the past 50 years he has taught undergraduate, graduate and postdoctoral students about mental health policy issues and carried out numerous research studies on mental health issues. He also has served on many national and international policy committees on issues covered in this book. Elected to the National Academy of Sciences, the American Academy of Arts of Sciences and the Institute of Medicine Mechanic also received many awards including the Rhoda and Bernard Sarnat International Prize in Mental Health from the Institute of Medicine, the Benjamin Rush Award from the American Psychiatric Association, the Distinguished Career Award for the Practice of Sociology from the American Sociological Association, and two major mental health awards from the American Public Health Association. Among his many government assignments, he was coordinator of the Panel on Problems, Scope and Boundaries of the President’s Commission on Mental Health

Donna D. McAlpine, PhD., is an Associate Professor of Public Health in the Division of Health Services Research & Policy at the University of Minnesota where she is the director of the MPH program in Public Health Administration and Policy. She received her doctorate in sociology from Rutgers University with a focus on medical sociology. She teaches graduate courses in community mental health and medical sociology. Her research focuses on patterns of treatment for persons with mental health and substance use problems, race and ethnic disparities in health, and survey methods. Over the past several years she has also been actively involved in partnering with community agencies in building capacity to do community-based participatory research�

David A. Rochefort, Ph.D., is Arts and Sciences Distinguished Professor of Political Science at Northeastern University where he teaches courses on U.S. Health and Welfare Policy, Public Policy Analysis, Political Language, and Quantitative Techniques. At Northeastern, he has received both the Excellence-in-Teaching Award and the Practice-Oriented Education Award. In addition, he was Beverly Visiting professor, The Clarke Institute of Psychiatry, University of Toronto, and Fulbright Scholar at the University of Montreal.� In 1986-87, he was an NIMH postdoctoral fellow in the Rutgers-Princeton Program in Mental Health Research. Rochefort’s previous publications on mental health include From Poorhouses to Homeless: Policy Analysis and Mental Health Care, 2nd ed. (1997) and editor of Handbook on Mental Health Policy in the United States (1989).� He has served as consultant to the Rhode Island Department of Health, New Jersey Department of Human Services, Human Services Research Institute, Regional Office of Inspector General-U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, and other groups. Not an Introductory Guide

There is no doubt that the authors of this text are indeed experts. All concepts have an angular approach and base nearly each written conceptual description with its source, scholarly journal, theorist/investigator or experimental finding.

Sentences are overloaded with information-- there are no fillers and no glaze-over sentences. Any simplistic language that is easily processed in any text for a reader's occassional "breath" are instead substituted with the most technical or clinical term, followed by an overwhelming complexity of language that requires every ounce of concentration and comprehension exercisable. I believe EACH sentence was written with the purpose of leaving someone in complete jaw-dropping awe.

Students opening this book will most likely have encountered the foundational framework for many of the concepts presented and may find just the right amount of challenge and stimulus needed to reactivate their knowledge or expand on it with it's lengthy, thorough, and small-print font. However, I HIGHLY discourage anyone seeking an "introductory guide" or "overview" of articulatory and phonological disorders to begin their studies here. Authors have clearly written this book for the "continuing" student, not the "new" one. Even the introductory chapter is written with the assumption that you have a background in linguistics and/or phonetics. That being said-- this book, I imagine, was intended for 4th-year or graduate level study.

VERY TECHNICAL/DIFFICULT/WORDY

I bought this book solely for an Articulation and Phonological disorders class I'm taking. This is my first semester in grad school, and I have my B.S. in Speech-Language Pathology. I find this book EXTREMELY difficult to understand and it takes me HOURS to comprehend 10 pages at a time. It's clear that the authors are very knowledgeable but I feel like this book is entirely too technical for the likes of an introductory Artic course. I have to constantly look things up online to get a clearer understanding of what the authors were trying to convey in their complex and wordy sentences. After reading a more sensible description from another source online, I often ask myself "Well, why didn't they just say that in the first place?". For anyone who is required to read this text... good luck.

I am a graduate student in Communication Disorders, and even so, I hate this book. It's packed with unnecessary detail and drawn out sentences. Why intentionally make something tedious and confusing to read? I want something that is both informative and interesting. This book is anything but.
